Create and market your own website as a Homebased business and make money from it. You could earn from it though PPC (Pay per Click) advertising, promoting products as an affiliate or putting ads to your website. Here are some points I would like to share in doing your own website.
First step would be the decision that you are willing to invest your time and effort in making a webpage and willing to work long hours in front of your computer while you are still starting out on this. If you could spend 9-10 hours in front of your PC, if you think you could do that, then creating websites is for you and this could be your homebased business.
After deciding webpage designing is the thing you want to do in your free time or doing it full time, think of a subject for your website. It might be something you love to do or something you have an expertise. But if you are not an expert on the subject that you want for your website, don't be discouraged, you can do research and still can come up with a good content for your website.
When you already decided on the subject for your website, think of a good keyword or keyword phrase to secure you a good place on the search engine. If you decide to create a website about diabetes, you have to think of a good keyword like "diabetes symptom" or "diabetes treatment'. There are a lot of Keywords selector tools or program here in the net that you could download for free like http://www.goodkeywords.com which will help you decide in the selection of keywords based on your subject or ideas. Creating your own website involves spending money. You want to earn money from your website and like in any other business you have to invest before you could get your gain or profit. Now you have a subject and keywords, you need to register or buy a domain and pay for web hosting. With regards to your domain name, try to come up with a domain name containing your "keywords", like for diabetes for instance, and your key word is "diabetes symptom", domain must be "diabetessymptom.com". There are also free domain tools in the net that you could use to check the availability of domain names that you want like http://www.pcnames.com/ and http://domainmonger.com/. For your domain name registration and web hosting you could shop around the net for affordable domain registration, like http://www.godaddy.com/ and http://www.namecheap.com/
After deciding on the keywords, acquiring a domain name, organizing your ideas, you are now ready to create a website. If you don't know HTML or JavaScript, don't worry, you could still create your website. There are software you could use to create your webpage, I use Microsoft FrontPage, and you could use other programs you are comfortable using like Dreamweaver or Netscape Page Composer. For uploading your website into the web you need an FTP tools you could also download software for free at http://www.internet-soft.com/ or you could search the net.
Now you have a functional website on the internet and you could start marketing your website to maximize your earnings. There are a lot of ways on how to monetize your website and the important thing is start building your website now.
